How can I access CBIC?
Agents are not automatically appointed through CBIC. We will need you to complete the CBIC Agency Application and submit it for us to consider appointing your agency. Once the application has been reviewed, your office will be notified. Contact Wendy Arnold at 406.532.2163 extension 33 for additional information.
How do I send an application to CBIC?
You can email applications to CBIC@bigskyunderwriters.com or fax them to 406.721.9311. Please indicate on the application “CBIC Division” so it is routed to our department. This email can also be used for endorsement requests, cancellation requests and inquiries.
Is there training available for the CBIC Rating Program?
Yes, you may contact any of our underwriters for any questions you may have or to schedule a meeting for online training.
What is needed to bind coverage?
We require 25% of the total premium as a down payment and prior carrier loss runs. For online quotes, we will need the application and any pertinent supplemental questionnaires. For all other quotes, we will need an Acord Application, Terrorism Form and any other applicable supplemental questionnaires.

We offer coverage in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming through the CBIC Department within Big Sky Underwriters.

Wendy began her insurance career in 1982 working in independent agencies in the states of Oregon, Washington and Montana. She joined Big Sky Underwriters in 1995. Wendy also oversees the Quality Control for each department. Wendy’s oldest son has joined the insurance industry and works at a major carrier in Phoenix as an adjustor and the younger son works in IT for a major company. Wendy and her husband enjoy golfing and traveling now that they are empty nesters.
